Enspyre President Elias Ek
gave a guest lecture at National Chiao-Tung University in
Hsinchu. The class is about Entrepreneurialism and Venture
Capital taught by Professor Hsiao-cheng Yu.
Before the lecture Mr. Ek was invited to the
office of the Swedish Chalmers University which Chiao-Tung
University has an extensive exchange program with. He was
very greeted very well by the current batch of Swedish students
who . Not only are they there to study, but they are also
charged with the task of promoting economic and educational
cooperation between Sweden and Taiwan.

The class has students from many different
countries and Professor Yu teaches in English.
Mr. Ek used himself as a case study to give
the students an inside view of how an entrepreneur is made
or born and how an entrepreneur thinks.
"I have wanted to be an entrepreneur since
I was 11 years old," started Mr. Ek and continued on
to talk about his first business idea to let people in his
native Sweden to subscribe to their breakfast bread.
Mr. Ek also urged everyone to find a business
they can feel passionate about, "entrepreneurs have to
work hard and if you don't feel passionate about the business,
it will be really hard to keep up the work.
Comments after the show was unanimous
- cool and inspiring. One student
said that she wasn't ready to start a business yet but that
Mr. Ek's speech had really encouraged her to make sure to
find a job that she could really enjoy and care for.
Mr. Ek was very happy with the presentation
and said he would not mind the least to come back in future
years for a re-run. |
